NARAL Nevada Applauds Attorney General Aaron Ford for Protecting Birth Control

Ford joins a coalition of states fighting back against Trump administration attacks on birth control

One day after taking the oath of office, Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford joined the filing of amicus briefs asking courts to block Donald Trump’s devastating birth control rules, NARAL Pro-Choice Nevada State Director Caroline Mello Roberson issued the following statement in response:

“As Donald Trump and Mike Pence remain obsessed with rolling back our rights, we applaud Attorney General Aaron Ford for standing up and saying enough is enough. The Trump administration’s action to allow employers to deny their employees coverage for birth control for nearly any reason is yet another blatant attempt to punish and burden women in Nevada and across America. Today, Attorney General Ford took a stand for the women and families all across Nevada who depend on birth control to continue our education, support our families, and plan for our futures. We could not be more thrilled to continue working with Attorney General Ford to put a check on Trump’s dangerous and out-of-touch agenda, and defend every Nevada woman’s right to make decisions about her own life, body, and future.”
