On Anniversary of the Women’s March, NARAL Nevada Continues Fight for Reproductive Freedom

NARAL Members Will Rally This Weekend in Las Vegas, Take Feminist Road Trip from Reno to Las Vegas

As Nevada marches in celebration of the one year anniversary of the Women’s March this weekend, NARAL Nevada State Director Caroline Mello Roberson issued the following statement:

“The march anniversary represents Nevadan’s continued effort to fight for equality, reproductive freedom, and the values we all share as Americans. It also represents our resolve to fight back against the misogynistic, bigoted agenda of Donald Trump and those that vote in lock step with him like our own Senator Dean Heller. NARAL members will be marching and road tripping down to Las Vegas from Reno to send a clear message to the anti-choice GOP that we won’t back down from the coming fights over our fundamental rights. NARAL Nevada members spent 2017 building an army, and today’s march renews our fight against unprecedented attacks on our reproductive freedom. Our members will keep talking to their neighbors, calling their representatives, and showing up at the state house. At NARAL Nevada, our members get involved, stay involved, and never stop fighting.

“This year, women all across have dug deep and made incredible strides. There’s still a lot of work to be done, and we’re taking this fight all the way through 2018. While Donald Trump and Senator Heller continue to push through their out-of-touch agenda, we know these aren’t the values of hard working Nevada families. It’s time Nevada women and families had representatives who have our backs and are willing to fight for our basic human rights. To Senator Heller and all the anti-choice politicians who spent the past year attacking our reproductive rights: we’ll see you at the ballot box.”
